Lower-profile memorials that sit at or near the ground, for cemeteries that ask for a marker rather than an upright, or for families who prefer an understated tribute that reads clearly and lasts.
Not every cemetery allows an upright monument, and not every family wants one. Slant and flat markers sit low to the ground while still giving you room for a name, dates, and a few words of remembrance, hand-finished in the same premium granite as our larger work.
We make slant-faced markers that angle up for easy reading, flush markers that sit level with the lawn, beveled markers that rise just slightly, and cast-bronze markers on a granite base. Flat granite and bronze are also the shapes the VA supplies for an eligible veteran, and our guide to the free VA marker explains who qualifies and who pays to set it. Because a low marker is lighter than an upright, some cemeteries allow one sooner after a burial, which our guide to how long a headstone takes gets into. We will tell you exactly what your cemetery permits before you decide.
A solid block of granite with a slanted face that angles toward you, so the inscription reads clearly while the marker still sits low and dignified.
Set level with the ground for cemeteries that keep a clean, open lawn. Easy to maintain, and required by many memorial parks.
A low marker that rises just above the grass with a gently sloped top, a middle ground between a flush marker and a slant.
Cast-bronze lettering and borders mounted on a granite base, with raised designs that weather beautifully. Each catalog design can be personalized.

Your monument is cut and finished by hand, here in Ravenna.
We handle the foundation and set the stone at the cemetery.
Tell us the cemetery and section, and we will check the rules for you. We work with cemeteries across Portage, Summit, and Stark Counties, from Ravenna and Kent west to Akron and south to Canton, and we handle the permits and foundation requirements so you do not have to.
Not at all. A marker carries the same care and the same custom design as our larger monuments: your choice of granite, lettering, and artwork, proofed with you before we cut it.
When you're ready, our family is here to help yours, with patience, care, and no obligation.
