A granite bench gives a family something a headstone cannot: a place to sit, stay a while, and remember. Carved from solid stone and engraved with a name or a few words, it lasts as long as any monument we make.
A memorial bench can stand at a graveside, in a garden, or anywhere a family gathers to remember. Cut from solid granite and finished by hand, it offers a quiet place to rest and reflect, season after season, for generations.
We engrave benches with names, dates, a verse, or artwork, and we can match the granite to an existing family monument. Some families choose a bench as the memorial itself; others add one beside an upright or marker already in place.
Benches need room and a level foundation, and not every section allows one. We set them in cemeteries and gardens throughout Portage, Summit, and Stark Counties, from Ravenna and Kent to Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, and Canton, and we check what your section permits before you commit to the idea. That check and the foundation that follows are usually what set the schedule, the same way they do for any memorial.
Set at the graveside on a granite foundation, engraved to serve as the memorial or to accompany a stone that is already there.
For a home garden, a church, or a public space, a lasting tribute that can be enjoyed every day.
Names, dates, verses, and carved or etched artwork on the seat, the legs, or both, proofed with you before we begin.

We design the memorial and proof every detail with you.
Your monument is cut and finished by hand, here in Ravenna.
We handle the foundation and set the stone at the cemetery.
Yes. Many families choose a granite bench as the memorial itself, with the name and dates engraved on the seat or base. Others place one beside an existing monument. Rules differ from one cemetery to the next across Portage, Summit, and Stark Counties, so tell us the cemetery and section and we will find out what is allowed before you decide.
It will. Solid granite weathers the Ohio seasons for generations with almost no upkeep, which is why it is the same material we use for every monument we make.
When you're ready, our family is here to help yours, with patience, care, and no obligation.
